Cake — Mom's Banana

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 3/4 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt together.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Beat in egg.
  4. Add mashed banana and vanilla.
  5. Add dry ingredients and sour milk alternately.
  6. Bake in 9-inch layer pans at 375° for 25–30 minutes.

  • Best with butter cream frosting.
