Chicken A La Orange
Ingredients
- 2 broiler-fryers, cut up
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1 juice can water
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 medium onion
Method
- Put flour and dry seasonings in a bag and coat the chicken.
- Place chicken in a Pyrex casserole.
- Pour juice concentrate, water, and brown sugar over the chicken.
- Bake at 350°, basting occasionally, until done.
