Chili — Connie's Famous

Ingredients

  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 large can recipe style tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder (or more)
  • 1 grated whole onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 green or red pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 1/2 pounds meat (drain fat off)
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup red cooking wine

Method

  1. Sauté 1/2 cup chopped or grated onion and several cloves of garlic.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until well done. Drain fat.
  3. Add all other ingredients and simmer 1 to 2 hours.
