Chili — Connie's Famous
Ingredients
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 large can recipe style tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chili powder (or more)
- 1 grated whole onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 green or red pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 1/2 pounds meat (drain fat off)
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained
- 1/2 cup red cooking wine
Method
- Sauté 1/2 cup chopped or grated onion and several cloves of garlic.
- Add ground meat and cook until well done. Drain fat.
- Add all other ingredients and simmer 1 to 2 hours.
