Ingredients

  • 3.75 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 1 2/3 cup almonds

Method

  1. Toast almonds.
  2. Mix dry ingredients.
  3. Mix eggs, vanilla, and almond extract together, then add to dry ingredients.
  4. Divide dough into quarters and roll into logs.
  5. Bake 35 minutes and remove from oven.
  6. Slice on angle and rebake 5-7 minutes per side until golden.
