Cookies — Ethel's Chocolate Frosted

Ingredients
For the cookies
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 2 squares chocolate, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
For the frosting
- 3 tablespoons cream
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Cream the brown sugar and melted butter. Add the egg and beat. Add the melted chocolate.
- Sift the flour with the soda. Add the milk, stirring in the flour and milk alternately. Add the vanilla.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10–12 minutes.
- For the frosting, combine the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Frost the cookies when cool.
