Cranberry-Orange Salad
Ingredients
- 2 lbs.s cranberries
- 2 pkg.s cherry Jell-O
- 4 whole oranges (ground with skin)
- 3 cups sugar
- boiling water (1/2 cup for cooking cranberries; 1 1/2 cups for dissolving Jell-O — amounts specified in instructions)
Method
- Grind 2 lbs. cranberries, put 1/2 of the berries in pan with 3 cups of sugar and 1/2 cup water.
- Boil a few minutes; turn off heat.
- Dissolve the cherry Jell-O in 1 1/2 cups boiling water and add to cooked mixture.
- Add the remaining ground cranberries and the oranges that have been ground with skin.
- Chill.
