Gulash

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Onion
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • Bay leaf
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Egg noodles, for serving

Method

  1. Cut the stew meat into approximately 1-inch cubes.
  2. Dust the beef with the flour.
  3. Brown the beef in the olive oil.
  4. Add the onion and cook approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Add the water, paprika, salt, bay leaf, and garlic.
  6. Cover and simmer approximately 2 hours.
  7. Serve over egg noodles.
