Peanut Butter Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 small can evaporated milk (6 oz.)
  • Small lump of oleo
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1½ cups peanut butter

Method

  1. Combine the sugar and evaporated milk in a saucepan and add a small lump of oleo.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 3½ minutes.
  3. Continue boiling until the mixture forms a soft ball in cold water.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and peanut butter.
  5. Beat until it thickens slightly, then pour onto a buttered pan.
  6. When cool, cut into squares.
