Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
  • 1 1/4 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cups butter (melted)

Method

  1. Spread nuts in bottom of pie shell.
  2. Beat eggs. Add sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla & butter.
  3. Pour filling over pecans.
  4. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes then turn oven down to 325° and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, cool, cut, eat, be happy.
