Pesto
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 teaspoons toasted pine nuts
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup parmesan
- 3 tablespoons butter
Method
- Combine basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely chopped.
- With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and continue processing until smooth.
- Add the parmesan and softened butter, then pulse until well combined. Season with additional salt to taste.
