Pie — Pecan

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 8" pie shell
  • 1 1/4 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Method

  1. Spread the pecans in the bottom of the pie shell.
  2. Beat the eggs.
  3. Add the sugar, dark corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and melted butter to the beaten eggs and stir to combine.
  4. Pour the filling over the pecans.
  5. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then turn the oven down to 325° and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, cool, cut, eat, be happy.
