Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- Vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- Strawberries
- Whipped cream
Method
- Cream the sugar and butter. Add the egg and vanilla.
- Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
- Bake in a greased pan (cake size) at 350° about 20 minutes.
- Slice and add berries. Serve with whipped cream.
